چکیده
Objective: To assess the outcome of end to side Ileo-Ascending Colic anastomosis in patients undergoing emergency and elective Ileo-Caecal resection non-malignant cases. Study Design: Cross Sectional Descriptive study. Setting: Department Surgery at Fauji Foundation Hospital Rawalpindi. Period: January, 2018 December, 2020. Material & Methods: A Total 40 with ileo-caecal benign pathology presenting generalized peritonitis intestinal obstruction were studied. All underwent laparotomy either or as planned procedure. After dealing primary an ileo-ascending colic was performed all Cases disease that required ileostomy ileo-transverse excluded from Anastomosis conventional two layers vicryl 3/0. Variables studied were; indication for surgery, per-operative findings post-operative complications like anastomotic leakage, surgical site infection, burst abdomen systemic sepsis. Data analyzed on SPSS (v 26). Results: There 30 females (75%) 10 male (25%). Age range 18-72 years mean age 43.62 years. Common clinical surgery 11 cases (27.5%) followed by (25%) trauma 9 (22.5%). Post-operative diagnosis most tuberculosis 14 (35%) region Anastomotic leakage occurred 1 patient (2.5%) who second look re-anastomosis. Surgical infection 3 (7.5%). one fatality due uncontrolled Conclusion: An ileo- ascending is a safe reliable procedure after resection. It saves ileostomy, preserves colonic length avoids formation blind loop.

Results of End-To-Side Hypoglossal-Facial Nerve Anastomosis in Facial Paralysis after Skull Base Surgery
Introduction: The primary aim of facial reanimation surgery is to restore tone, symmetry, and movement to the paralyzed face. Hypoglossal-facial end-to-side anastomosis provides satisfactory facial reanimation in the irreversible proximal injury of the facial nerve. This study discussed the facial function results of end-to-side anastomosing of hypoglossal nerve to facial nerve when the i...
متن کاملLaparoscopic-assisted resection of ileal lipoma causing ileo-ileo-colic intussusception.
Adult intussusception is rare, and the majority of cases has an underlying cause that requires surgical resection. We report a case of a 39 yr-old man with ileo-ileo-colic intussusception caused by ileal lipoma that was successfully managed by a laparoscopic-assisted surgical maneuver. Using a three-cannula technique, ileo-colic intussusception was reduced laparoscopically. Then, through a 4-cm...
متن کاملIleocolonic anastomosis after right hemicolectomy for colon cancer: functional end-to-end or end-to-side?
BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to compare short-term clinical outcomes of ileocolonic functional end-to-end anastomosis (FEEA) and end-to-side anastomosis (ESA) following resection of the right colon for cancer. METHODS We enrolled 379 patients who underwent ileocolonic anastomosis following resection of the right colon for cancer by a single surgeon, from January 2009 through June ...
متن کاملExperimental research on end-to-side anastomosis of peripheral nerves and effect of FK506 on end-to-side anastomosis.
OBJECTIVE To study the effects of end-to-side anastomosis of initially-denatured nerves at different times. METHOD 60 male Wistar albino rats were used to fabricate animal models for the experiment on end-to-side anastomosis of peripheral nerves and 50 female Wistar albino rats were used to fabricate animal models for the experiment on the effect of FK506 on end-to-side anastomosis. Bilateral...
متن کاملWhy Patencies of Femoropopliteal Bypass Grafts with Distal End-to-End Anastomosis are Comparable with End-to-Side Anastomosis.
OBJECTIVE Despite the theoretical favourable hemodynamic advantage of end-to-end anastomosis (ETE), femoropopliteal bypasses with distal ETE and end-to-side anastomosis (ETS) have comparable clinical patencies. We therefore studied the effects of different in vivo anastomotic configurations on hemodynamics in geometrically realistic ETE and ETS in vitro flow models to explain this phenomenon. ...
